Seminars

As the business world moves quickly and continues to evolve, it is increasingly important that individuals invest in themselves. Business Seminars, at the University of Alberta Faculty of Extension, are focused on equipping participants with specific and relevant skills that will empower them as they respond to these rapid changes.

There are many different seminars offered throughout the academic year. Some seminars focus on soft skills (such as communication, mentoring, and time management), while others have a more specific utilization (such as accounting, finance, and budgeting). Seminars are created to meet current needs, are regularly updated and evaluated, and are designed to be highly informative and very compact. Most seminars are between 7 and 14 classroom hours, although some may be as much as 20 classroom hours.

Providing a strong balance of theory and practical experience, the Business Seminars are created to ensure learning is immediately applicable for participants.
